Blackbutt Country Markets
The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held at Les Muller Park in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around mid-day today. The markets offer a wide range of locally produced arts, crafts and freshly harvested foodstuffs and everyone is welcome along!
Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Maidenwell Folk Gathering
The final day of the twice-a-year Maidenwell Folk Gathering will be held in and around the historic Maidenwell Hotel in Maidenwell today, kicking off at around 9:30am and running until around noon. This is an all-acoustic event and during the day a variety of performers will be entertaining in and around the hotel. Admission to the Folk Gathering is completely free and musicians are welcome as well as people who just like to listen to music. There's also free overnight camping available in the hotel's grounds. Kilkivan Railway Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Back To Wondai Trail Ride
The South Burnett Mountain Bike Club will be holding a ride along the trails in the Wondai Forestry from 7:45am to around 10:00am today. Cyclists - whether they're club members or not - should meet up outside the IGA supermarket in Wondai. This is a great event for beginner riders. Sunday Poker - Kingaroy

Community Gospel Concert - Cherbourg
UPDATE: Because of the weather, the concert has been relocated to the Cherbourg Sporting complex. A mammoth Community Gospel Concert will be held outside Cherbourg Radio's studios in Barambah Avenue, Cherbourg from 2:00pm to 7:00pm today. The concert will be compered by Pastor Max Conlon and popular radio host Big Chance, and will feature performances from Roger Knox (the "Black Elvis", pictured), Mop Conlon, Muddy Flats and local gospel singers, with a BBQ running from 5:00pm as well. If you can't make it in person, today's concert will also be broadcast live on Cherbourg Radio 94.1 FM. Everyone is welcome and there's no admission fee.
Sunday Bingo - Wondai
Bingo games will be held at the Wondai RSL in Mackenzie Street, Wondai this afternoon, with eyes down from 1:30pm. There will be 3 jackpots and 15 games on offer, and the kitchen will be open for light meals. Proceeds will go to help Wondai RSL veterans. More details? Phone (07) 4168-5297.
Sunshine State MX Series - Kingaroy
The second (and final) day of the weekend-long Round 2 of the Sunshine State MX Series will be held at the South Burnett Junior MX Club's track at Edenvale (behind Kingaroy Airport) from around 8:00am this morning until late afternoon. This competition routinely attracts hundreds of Australia's best MX riders who'll all by vying for a slice of the $36,000 in prize monies on offer, and it should offer a ton of pulse-pounding action for MX racing fans. Admission for spectators is just $5 for adults or $2 for young people under 13, and COVID restrictions will apply. Everyone is welcome!
Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Quilting Exhibition - Maidenwell
Today is Day 2 of the Maidenwell Quilters' two-day display, "COVID Creations", on this weekend at the Maidenwell Hall. There will be embroidery, sewing, patchwork and knitting to view ie. everything you can do while in iso!). Today's exhibition will run from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Bookarama - Kingaroy
St John's Lutheran School will be holding the second (and fiunal) day of their giant two-day Bookarama at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 8:00am to noon today. Bookarama offers tens of thousands of books on all subjects at genuine bargain prices, and this year there'll also be an all-day sausage sizzle and raffles too. Proceeds of Bookarama go to help the school and if you love books, it's heaven on a stick. Everyone is welcome and admission is free!
Sunday Session With Tony Cisneros
South Burnett entertainer Tony Cisneros - who usually performs with the Mr Q Band - will be holding a solo Sunday acoustic session in the beer garden at Kingaroy's Commercial Hotel in Glendon Street from 1:30pm onwards today. Proston Golden Spurs Campdraft
POSTPONED:The third (and final) day of the three day Proston Golden Spurs Campdraft will kick off at the Proston Showgrounds on the Proston-Boondooma Road west of the CBD at 6:00am this morning. Today's events will kick off with the first round of the Open, the final of the Novice, and then the 2nd round and the final of the Open. TGhere'll also be some children's events running in the morning organised by the Proston Pony Club. The Spurs is always a big event and spectators are welcome to come and watch the action for free. There'll also be limited refreshments in the grounds, and plenty of extra parking available at the nearby Proston Golf Club, which will also be broadcasting this year's campdraft live. Everyone is welcome! Note: Due to wet weather, the Golden Spurs Campdraft was postponed on March 18. It may now be held on April 16-18, but this date has yet to be confirmed.
