2025 Kingaroy Show

The second day of the two-day 2025 Kingaroy Show will be held at Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street from 8:00am until late tonight. Today, there'll be more equestrian events as well as tractor pulls, vintage machinery and the largest sideshow alley in the region. And this evening, the Kingaroy Speedway will be on from 5:00pm! Admission to the speedway is included in the show's ticket price. Single day tickets to the show are just $20 for adults, $15 for age pensioners and high school students (under 12s can get in for free if accompanied by a paying adult). Murgon & District Bantam Club Show
The Murgon and District Bantam Club will be holding its 6th annual Bantam Show in the Poultry Pavilion at the Murgon Showgrounds (enter via Watt Street and turn right to the pavilion). All birds will be in their pens by 8:15am with judging to start at 8:45am. There'll be all sorts of bantams on display - both soft feather and hard feather varieties - along with a canteen serving breakfast, morning tea and lunch, with free coffee and tea available all day along with free admission. High Tea - Wondai
Dimities Cottage at 49 Haly Street, Wondai (opposite the art gallery) will be hosting a High Tea this morning from 10:00am to noon. Cost is $18 and bookings are essential. Phone Graham on (07) 4168-5744.
Proston Khanacross
Proston Car Rally Club will be holding Day 2 of their weekend-long Proston Khanacross at their race track today (the club's track is located 7.5km west of Proston at 757 Proston-Boondooma Road). Racing will start at 8:00am. Competitors come from all over Queensland and spectators are very welcome. There'll also be a food van on site. Showers are available with free camping. Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Linville Monthly Markets
The Linville Progress Association will be holding their monthly markets at Linville Community Hall from 7:00am to around 12:00 noon this morning. The markets have a great BBQ breakfast and lots of fresh produce, home-made foods, crafts and bric-a-brac and run on the first Sunday of each month. Everyone is welcome and potential new stallholders should contact the association by email
Community Pickleball - Woolooga
Woolooga Community Hall is hosting community pickleball every Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the hall at 8 Thomas Street, Woolooga. Everyone is welcome to come along, including beginners. All equipment is provided at the court, so just bring water!
Widgee Bushman's Carnival
Day 2 of the two-day Widgee Campdraft will get under way at the Widgee Campdraft Grounds near Widgee Hall at 7:00am this morning with the Dustybutts Junior Draft followed by the Darren Falconer Memorial Juvenile Draft and the final of the Fabian & Tanda Webb Memorial Novice Draft. A bar and canteen will be running on site all day, admission is free for spectators and everyone is welcome! There's also camping available on-site.
Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
MAY'kn Music - Goomeri
The Goomeri Bush Camp, at 5939 Wide Bay Highway, will be hosting a three-day music and camping festival building on the success of last year's Beats & Boots at the same venue.
