Rugby League Grand Finals - Cherbourg
The Grand Finals of the South Burnett Rugby League's A Grade and Under 14 competitions will be played at Jack O'Chin Oval in Cherbourg today! Two warm-up games by Under 12s will start the big day. At 11:15am, Murgon U12s v Cherbourg U12s; at 12:05pm, Wondai U12s v Nanango U12s. The Under 14s Grand Final between the Chinchilla Bulldogs and the undefeated Nanango Stags will kick off at 1:30pm. The A Grade Grand Final between the Cherbourg Hornets and Kingaroy Red Ants will get under way at 3:00pm. The gates will open at 9:30am and the canteen will be running all day. Entry is just $5:00. Come along and support your town's team!
Bush Dance - Tablelands
- Murgon Apex and the Murgon Show Society are hosting an old-fashioned night of foot-stomping fun from 5:00pm this evening at the Tableland Hall, 459 Crownthorpe Road, Tablelands. There'll be a bush band playing live, hamburgers and chips will be available to buy and the Tableland Hall Committee will be running a licensed bar. This is a family friendly event, so dress up in your country gear. All ages are welcome! Tickets are $15 (on sale at the door) and Under 12s are free.
Music On Nature's Porch - Bunya Mountains
South Burnett musicians will be marking "Play Music On The Porch Day" with a free concert at Burton's Well picnic area in the Bunya Mountains (top of the Bunya Mountains, Kumbia end) from 10:00am to around 3:00pm today. There'll be music by the Nanango Shedders, Polly's Uke Group and St Mary's Junior Ukesters plus bush poetry and Scottish pipes. Other musicians are very welcome to join in (or just sing along)! A sausage sizzle, coffee van and drinks stall will be operating on site and there's no admission. Everyone is welcome!
Music On The Porch – Nanango
- Louise "The Diva" Winton and Claudia Mueller will be celebrating "Play Music On The Porch Day" from 1:00pm this afternoon with a free concert at the Nanango Uniting Church Hall, 44 Gipps Street. They promise to get you smiling, humming, tapping your toes and maybe even dancing! Tea and coffee will be provided.
Charity Golf Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Golf Club and the Rotary Satellite Club of Kingaroy Sunrise are hosting their annual Professional Services Charity Golf Day today. Both golfers and non-golfers are welcome to join in the fun! The three-person ambrose will feature $6000 worth of golfing and novelty prizes. Shotgun start at 9:30am. Funds raised will support the South Burnett Community Hospital Foundation. Nominations can be made by phoning (07) 4162-1720. The nomination fee includes free lunch and a drink.
Go Getta Girls - Kingaroy

Car Boot Sale - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Men's Shed will be holding another of their regular Car Boot Sales at their premises in Geoff Raph Drive near Kingaroy Airport from 8:00am to 11:30am this morning. There'll be hand-crafted goods, furniture, tools, camping gear and a sausage sizzle plus live music by Claudia. Stall sites are free! Everyone is welcome to browse for bargains!
Yarraman Holistic Markets

The Maidenwell Hotel's popular monthly Pig On A Spit Night will be running from 6:00pm until late this evening with live music by Chris Hoy from 7:00pm to late.
