South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally
The first day of the two-day Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally will be held at the club's grounds along Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport between 9:00am and 5:00pm today. The rally attracts vintage machinery enthusiasts from all over south-east Queensland and there'll be a huge range of antique machinery on display including cars, tractors, trucks, crawlers and stationary engines. Other highlights include a Grand Parade, slow tractor races, tractor pulling, corn threshing and much, much more! If you're hungry, there'll food and drink stalls operating all day too. This year's event celebrates 100 years of Caterpillar and Chrysler and 125 years of Mack. Admission today is $10, but under 16s can get in for free.
Fundraising Dinner - Tableland Hall
The Tableland Hall Committee will be holding its annual fundraising dinner from 6:00pm tonight at the hall at 459 Crownthorpe Road, Tablelands. Cost is $35 per person which includes a three-course meal. There'll also be a bar operating. Bookings are essential as seats are limited. RSVP by September 13 to 0400-697-300.
Maidenwell Music Mix
Day 2 of the second annual Maidenwell Music Mix festival will kick off at 11:00am this morning and go through until 11:00pm tonight in the performance area beside the Maidenwell Hotel. Performers today include Amber Goldsmith, Rich Phillips, Larry Cann, Alice Benfer and RYZA. Tickets for today only are $30, or a weekend pass is $50 and can be booked online or purchased at the door. Under 16s are free and free camping is available.
Go Getta Girls - Kingaroy

Seafood Smorgasbord - Wondai
Dimities Cottage at 49 Haly Street in Wondai will be holding another of their all-you-can-eat Seafood Smorgasbords from 6:00pm this evening (dinner starts at 6:30pm). The buffet features all your favourite hot and cold seafoods, as well as non-seafood dishes, garden-fresh salads, home-made sweets, tea and coffee. Flora Survey Training Workshop - Kingaroy
Native Plants Queensland (Kingaroy & Districts Branch) is hosting a Flora Training Workshop today facilitated by the Queensland Threatened Plant Network. The workshop will be begin in the Reception Room at the Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street at 10:30am this morning and will be followed by a field survey at the Kingaroy Heights Environmental Reserve (BYO lunch and water). Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Proston Country Market
The monthly Proston Community Markets - held on the 3rd Saturday of each month - will be running outside the QCWA Rooms at Railway Park in Rodney Street, Proston from 8:00am this morning. Stalls feature crafts, plants as well as gifts and bric-a-brac. There'll also be a raffle, sausage sizzle and hot and cold drinks. All stalls welcome!
