An online fundraiser has been launched to help cover the funeral costs of three people killed in a horror crash at Nanango recently.
Bob Wheeler, 84, his wife Margaret, 81, and son Steven, 54, died when their SUV and a B-Double truck collided on the D’Aguilar Highway, near the Nanango-Tarong Road intersection, on May 30.
The family were well-known in the South Burnett through their various work and sporting club connections.
“Our family has lost our very much loved Poppy, Granny and Dad,” Sarah Wheeler wrote on the GoFundMe page.
“We are now trying to arrange the most beautiful funeral service for three members of our family, tragically taken from us.
“Our family does not often ask for help, but if you would like to assist financially, we would be forever grateful, so we can arrange to give Dad, Granny and Poppy the very best we can.
“Arranging a funeral for a loved one is one of the most difficult times in your life, but we are faced with arranging three funerals.
“If you can assist, we thank you for your generosity, kindness and support in advance.”
