A 20-year-old man faces 10 charges after an alleged spree of dangerous driving across the South Burnett.
About 3:45pm on Tuesday, police received reports that a grey Holden Commodore was driving dangerously.
The vehicle was spotted in Lamb Street, Murgon, and Haly Street, Wondai. It allegedly forced another vehicle off the road before heading towards Kingaroy.
The Commodore also allegedly travelled the wrong way through a roundabout, narrowly missing other road users.
Kingaroy police tried to intercept the vehicle on Youngman Street in Kingaroy, before the driver allegedly drove between traffic stopped at a red light, struck another vehicle and continued south at speed.
The driver also allegedly ran several red lights and drove on the incorrect side of the road.
About 4:10pm, police were called to the Bunya Highway at Benair after reports of a collision between the Commodore and a Toyota Hilux.
The Commodore driver allegedly ran into nearby bushland after the crash.
A police spokesperson said the driver was tracked before he was arrested near the intersection of Benair Road and Bunya Highway.
A 16-year-old girl who was allegedly a passenger in the Holden was taken to hospital with minor injuries while the driver of the Toyota, an 18-year-old Benair man, was not physically injured.
The 20-year-old man, from Tiaro, has been charged with 10 offences: four counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle and single counts of evade police, unlicensed driving, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, failing to wear a seatbelt and failing to comply with the duties of a driver involved in a crash.
He has been remanded to appear in Maryborough Magistrates Court on November 10.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed or has dashcam footage of a grey, early-2000s model Holden Commodore sedan, with distinctive white stickers on the front and rear windows, being driven dangerously between Tiaro and Kingaroy between 2:00pm and 4:00pm on October 20 to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
