Kingaroy State High School’s Year 12 students celebrated their end of schooling in style with a classy dinner and dance at Kingaroy Town Hall on Thursday night.

The annual formal featured the usual array of antique, classic and street machines dropping off couples, but this year also featured a pair of T Model Fords, a John Deere tractor (Kingaroy is a farming area, after all) and a Seilers Transport prime mover.

Some of the students looked nervous or embarrassed as they faced the array of cameras and smart phones awaiting their arrival, while others lapped up the applause like seasoned Hollywood professionals.

Inside the hall, the students enjoyed a formal graduation ceremony – and more photos – before listening to guest speaker Allen Christensen, watching the cutting of the graduation cake and then sitting down to enjoy dinner.
