Organisers of this year’s Wine and Food In The Park Festival have declared Saturday, March 11 a diet free day.

On Sunday they released the final list of food vendors who’ll be at this year’s Festival on the festival’s website, and are encouraging guests to eat up big.

“We’ll have something for every taste this year,” Festival secretary Paula Greenwood said.

“We’ve got everything from Asian stir-fries and pork balls with dipping sauce through to sweet and savoury French-style crepes, wood fired pizzas, Turkish kebabs, Spanish churros, Hungarian laugos and a whole lot more.

“Naturally, we’ll have seafoods, chips and burgers on hand for children. But we think adults will really enjoy the range of more sophisticated cuisines that will be on offer, too.”

This year’s event will have 17 different food stands, along with six wineries and a craft beer stall in the Festival’s new-look “village”.

A bar selling mid-strength beers, mixers and soft drinks will also be operating in the grounds.

“A lot of people love to come along for the day and just graze for hours,” Paula said.

“So we’ve declared Saturday as a diet free day to take the stress off anyone watching their weight.

“They can always get back to their diet on Sunday.”

  • This year’s Wine & Food In The Park Festival will be held on Saturday, March 11 at Memorial Park in Haly Street, Kingaroy from noon to 8:00pm.
