More than 1300 Ergon Energy customers were left without power in Nanango after Tuesday afternoon’s storm passed over the town.

Ergon reported that the power went off for 1375 users a few minutes before 4:00pm.

It was still not back by 6:00pm, with Ergon crews working to identify the fault.

The storm also kept SES volunteers busy in the area, called out to remove fallen trees and place tarpaulins on damaged roofs.

Hail and heavy rain were also reported in the Nanango district.

UPDATE: Power was restored to all affected properties by 9:00pm Tuesday night.
