If you thought the size of the last Senate Ballot paper was ridiculous, get ready for the July poll … there are almost 50 per cent more candidates than last time!
A total of 122 people have nominated for an opportunity to represent Queensland in the Senate, which has 12 Senate seats.
Most are grouped in parties, but there is also a bunch of ungrouped Independents.
The ballot draw, which determines the order of the columns, was held on Friday.
In the first column, is the Australian Cyclists Party.
No, we don’t know anything about them either, but a glance at their website confirms they are very pro-cycling.
The Australian Labor Party is the first of the mainstream parties on the ballot slip. Their six candidates are grouped in Column 4.
The LNP are in Column 7.
The Greens are over the other side of the sheet, in the third last column.
