South Burnett residents living in the Flynn and Wide Bay electorates will need to travel a long way if they want to cast an early vote in the July 2 Federal election.

For local residents living in Flynn, the nearest pre-polling station is at Gayndah’s court house, which will accept early votes from Monday, June 27.

And for residents living in Wide Bay, the nearest pre-polling station is Gympie’s Senior Citizens Centre which will accept votes from Monday, June 20.

Residents who live in Maranoa have slightly more choice.

Kingaroy’s Senior Citizens Centre at the corner of Kingaroy and Avoca Streets will accept pre-poll votes from Monday, June 20; and a week later, Nanango’s QGAP office at 30 Henry Street will do the same.

Maranoa

Kingaroy – SBCare Stanwell Room, 90 Kingaroy Street (Monday June 20 to Friday July 1)

  • Monday, June 20 to Thursday, June 23 (8:30am-5:30pm)
  • Friday, June 24 (8:30am-6:00pm)
  • Saturday, June 25 (9:00am-4:00pm)
  • Monday, June 27 to Tuesday, June 28 (8:30am-5:30pm)
  • Wednesday, June 29 (8:30am-6:00pm)
  • Thursday, June 30 (8:30am-5:30pm)
  • Friday, July 1 (8:30am-6:00pm)

Nanango – QGAP Office, 30 Henry Street (Monday June 27 to Friday July 1, 8:30am-4:30pm)

Flynn

South Burnett residents who are located more than 8km from a polling station can apply for a postal vote through the Australian Electoral Commission’s website.
