The Kingaroy Show Cabaret Ball is on again. And after attracting 130 patrons last year, organisers are hoping to see an even bigger roll-up at this year’s outing.

The licensed Ball is the traditional curtain-raiser for the annual Kingaroy Show, and it will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall on Saturday, April 16, from 6:00pm until late.

South Burnett Show Society president Cliff Seiler said the business community had rallied behind this year’s Cabaret Ball with generous support for advertising, printing and sponsorship for the event.

Apart from a fun night of dinner and dancing, the Ball will see the crowning of this year’s Miss Showgirl, Junior Miss Showgirl and Show Princess, along with Kingaroy’s Rural Ambassador, Junior Rural Ambassador and Show Prince.

Popular Toowoomba band “The Countdowns” will help keep everyone entertained with lively rock & roll, and a great meal can be included in the entry price.

Tickets to the Kingaroy Show Cabaret Ball are $25 per adult (or $50 with a meal); $15 for age pensioners (or $40 with a meal); and children under 12 are admitted free, but can get a meal for $10.

Tickets can be obtained in advance from 4SB/1071am at the corner of Alford and Glendon Streets in Kingaroy; Coppards Menswear in Kingaroy Street; and Raine and Horne’s offices in Haly Street or by contacting Ros Tigel by email or txt /leave message on 0428-228-839.

Tickets at the door on the night will be $30 for adults and $25 for students / age pensioners.  No meal tickets will be available at the door.

Pursers Coaches will also be running a bus from Goomeri, Murgon and Wondai to Kingaroy for $20 per person on Cabaret night. Seats need to be booked in advance from 4SB/1071am, Coppards Menswear, Raine and Horne Kingaroy or by contacting Ros Tigell. NB. Pursers will not be taking bookings.
