February 12, 2015

At 11:00am on Thursday, the Electoral Commission of Queensland still has not declared results for the State seats of Callide and Nanango.

Jeff Seeney (Callide) and Deb Frecklington (Nanango) have both been safely re-elected but a formal declaration of the seats has not yet been made.

Callide and Nanango are among 26 seats from the January 31 election which still have not been formally declared, delaying the expected commissioning of ALP Leader Annastacia Palaszczuk as Premier.

The ECQ has declared the result in 63 seats: 35 (ALP), 26 (LNP), 1 (KAP) and 1 (Independent).

Queensland Governor Paul de Jersey tweeted on Tuesday that he would commission a new Premier following the declaration of all seats.
