A flying fox returning home to roost after feeding has been blamed for a power outage that blacked out parts of Kingaroy in the early hours of this morning.
An Ergon Energy spokesman said the blackout was the third this year for this feeder, and the second in a few weeks.
The outcome was a downed wire in Haly Street which resulted in a power supply interruption to about 1700 Ergon customers on the northside of Kingaroy from 5.08am until 8.18am.
The Ergon Energy spokesman said it appeared there was a flying fox colony nearby.
