A 30-year-old Kingaroy woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries after she was knocked down by a vehicle on a pedestrian crossing in Kingaroy this morning.

An ambulance spokeswoman said the woman was taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition with pain to her left hip and abdomen.

She has since been discharged.

Police said a 63-year-old male driver, from Tablelands, would be issued with a summons to appear in court for driving without due care and attention.

The driver allegedly told police he was following a line of traffic and did not see the woman as he made a turn.

The incident occurred on the Haly Street / Glendon Street intersection about 8:50am.
