At the recent AGM of the Kingaroy Aero Modellers Society Inc, incoming President John Box thanked outgoing President Neil Hansen and Secretary/Treasurer Michael Hohnke for their extensive support and years of service to the club.

John also especially thanked Darryl Hansen for his ongoing support of the club by supplying a new mower at cost price.

Brett and Mason Francis were also thanked for their extensive mowing efforts. And last, but not least, the McLennan family for allowing the club to use their property for a flying field

Aims for the coming year:

To split the executive roles to reduce responsibilities and share the load of running the club.  Roger Walker will continue as Vice-President. The new Secretary is Darryl Hansen, Treasurer is Denis Hansen and the Safety and Training Officer is Brett Francis

General Meetings will be held on the second Sunday of the month every two months at 10:00am at the field, followed by a fly after the meeting. We will also follow up these meetings with working bees to do any repairs and maybe have a barbecue lunch.

The first activity for the year will be a static and flying display at Motors in Motion on November 2.

The club plans to promote itself more actively in the community by running a display in the Mall on a Saturday morning and inviting interested people to come and have a go.

As a Club, we and our visitors are very fortunate to have access to the exceptional flying site due to the grace of the property owners, the McLennan Family. We need to respect their ownership and wishes at all times.  We welcome interested visitors and prospective members and ask that they contact a financial Club member before going on site

  2. The livestock on the property have right of way at all times and are not to be chased with vehicles or aircraft.
