Digital Art Goes Wild … entries must combine digital art with a more traditional medium

April 17, 2013

Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery has announced that it will holding a major Acquisitive Art Competition over the next few months.

The competition, “Digital Art Goes Wild”, has a total of $2000 in prize money, including a $1000 first prize.

It will be open to young people aged between 12 and 24 (on June 1, 2013) who have a strong link with the South Burnett region.

The other major criterion is that all artworks combine an element of digital art with any other medium, for example digital design and acrylic paint.

A South Burnett Regional Council spokesman said the competition builds on Council’s strong commitment to young South Burnett artists, demonstrated by the launch of a Youth Gallery and Digital Design Studio over the past two years.
