Sandrine Jourdan ... this is the jumper that she was last seen wearing

November 27, 2012

Police are hoping someone in the South Burnett region may know the whereabouts of artist Sandrine Jourdan who was reported missing from the Caboolture area in July.

Ms Jourdan, 37, was last seen at a friend’s house in Tomlinson Road, Tullawong, on Friday, July 13.

She had been dropped off there by her mother and had planned to travel to a Buddhist retreat on the Gold Coast.

It has been reported she told friends she was going for walk. She has not been seen since.

The mother-of-three has not made contact with any friends or family and police hold grave concerns for her welfare.

A search of bushland in the Caboolture area has been conducted by police and SES volunteers but failed to locate any trace of the missing woman.

Ms Jourdan is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 164cm tall with a proportionate build, brown hair and brown eyes.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a light mauve long sleeve jumper and dark dress pants.

She is known to frequent camping grounds in the Caboolture, Kilcoy, Moreton Island, Kenilworth and Sunshine Coast areas.

However, detectives at Caboolture CIB also believe she was familiar with the Murgon, Kingaroy and Wilkesdale areas.

Her family told the Courier-Mail newspaper in September that she had been contacting art dealers in an effort to sell some of her paintings and was planning on enrolling in a TAFE course before she disappeared.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen Ms Jourdan – or know anything about where she may be now – to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.

Ms Jourdan’s family has also created a Facebook group to help raise awareness about her case.
