Then this one-day workshop at Tansey could be for you!

South-East Burnett Landcare is inviting local farmers and graziers to attend a workshop with Dr Jeff Clewett, the principal scientist at Agroclim Australia and Adjunct Professor at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

The workshop has been tailored specifically for the Burnett region and will cover the climate history of the region, factors causing climate variability, the science and history of weather forecasting, impacts of climate variability on agriculture, stream-flow, pasture. livestock and crops in the Bunrett; and strategies and best practices for managing climate risk.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 2, from 8:30am to 3:30pm at the Tansey Bowls Club, Burnett Highway, Tansey.

Cost is $20 per person, $10 for seniors, pensioners, students and Landcare members, or $20/family or couple (two or more from the one property). All workshop materials, morning tea, a BBQ lunch and afternoon tea  will be provided.
