South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Hivesville Country Markets
The Hivesville Country Markets will be held at the Hivesville Sports Grounds from 7:00am to around 12:00 noon today. These family friendly monthly markets feature a variety of stalls including fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and lots of food. There'll also be a mini auction running at around 10:00am plus pony rides and a jumping castle for children. There plenty of free parking in the grounds too. Sunday Soccer - Nanango
The South Burnett's Evolution Solar Football League competition will kick off the second part of its 2014 season launch this afternoon at the Nanango Soccer Grounds when Nanango take on Barambah. Second Division will hit the park at 12:30pm, followed by the Women's Division at 2:00pm and then First Division at 3:15pm. Nanango took out top honours in 2013's First Division and Women's Division in the season's grand finals, but Barambah took the trophy in 2nd Division with a 3-nil win - so it will be interesting to see how the summer has seasoned both sides. Admission is free, a bar and canteen will be running and spectators and supporters are very welcome!
Sunday Golf - Proston

Sunday Afternoon Darts - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Darts Association will be holding their regular Sunday afternoon Pot Luck Doubles darts competitions from 11:00am to 4:00pm at their premises at Shed 1, 18 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. A $10 playing fee applies, but that includes a great BBQ lunch. New players are always welcome - the club caters for all skill levels from novice to expert - and you can obtain more details by phoning Kurt on (0403) 400-771 (after 5:00pm) or Bianca on (0431) 954-023. Note: Pot Luck Doubles may not run on every Sunday due to other competitions, so call first to check if you really, really want to play PLD today.
Timbertown Woodworkers Group Meeting - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers Group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:00am until around 12:00pm today. Queensland Indigenous Golf Championships - Murgon
The third (and final) day of the 7th annual Queensland Indigenous Golf Championships will be held at the Murgon Golf Club on Bunya Highway at Murgon today. This 3-day, 54-hole stroke event is open to both male and female indigenous amateur golfers from anywhere in Australia and is being run under the auspices of Golf Queensland. This year a big field of top golfers will be taking to the field from 8:30am to contest the Men's and Women's events, but there'll also be A, B and C Grade nett divisions, a Junior competition and a Senior competition as well. Spectators are very welcome and trophies will be presented to the winners at the conclusion of play. You can obtain more details by phoning the Murgon Golf Club on (07) 4168-1608. Entry forms can also be downloaded from the Golf Queensland website and nominations close March 7.
Sunday Afternoon Touch Footy Training - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Touch Football Association will be holding their regular Sunday afternoon touch footy training sessions at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy for juniors (at 4:00pm) and seniors (at 5:00pm). New players are very welcome!
Kilkivan Sunday Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning.
