National Seniors Meeting - Murgon
- The Murgon branch of National Seniors will be holding their first bi-monthly meeting for 2015 at the Murgon Bowls Club in Macalister Street, Murgon from 10:00am this morning (though you can come as early as 9:30am if you'd like an informal morning tea beforehand). Today there'll be a special guest in attendance and after the meeting members usually adjourn to the Murgon Services Club for lunch. The group meets on the third Thursday of every second month and runs regular bus trips to nearby areas on alternate months. New members are always welcome. More details? Grazing BMP Workshop - Durong
- The Burnett Mary Regional Group will be holding a Grazing BMP Workshop in Durong today. This free workshop is the first in a series of three that will cover five different modules (the second and third workshops will be held on March 19 and April 23). Participants will be able to benchmark themselves against industry best practice; identify opportunities and develop a plan to improve their business performance; and access information and support. Morning tea and lunch will be provided, but to plan catering an RSVP is essential. Growing The Burnett will be holding their Mid-Week Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett, and are held in O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 12:00 noon and 6:30pm. - The Proston SES group will be meeting at their shed at the corner of Collingwood and Nelson Streets in Proston at 6:30pm this evening for their regular weekly training night. New members are very welcome!
St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
- St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be hosting bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Murgon Spinning, Weaving and Dyeing Group
- The Murgon Spinning, Weaving & Dyeing Group will be holding a meeting at Graham House at 21 Taylor Street East in Murgon from 9:00am to 2:00pm today. Nanango Tourism & Development Association Meeting
- The Nanango Tourism & Development Association will be holding its regular third Thursday of the month dinner meeting in the Long Hai Room at the Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango at 5:00pm (meeting starts at 5:30pm). The NaTDA aims to assist, foster, instigate or manage any project that could contribute to the advancement of the communities in and around Nanango and represents the interests of the Nanango community, business and tourism operators.
