Heritage Nanango Christmas Carnival

The Heritage Nanango Christmas Carnival will be will be held at Pioneer Park behind Nanango's RSL and the Nanango Aquatic Centre from 5:00pm to around 9:00pm tonight. As usual, the Christmas Carnival will feature free amusement rides, food and market stalls, Christmas ham raffles, live music and lots of family fun. Santa will also be dropping by around 6:30pm with gifts for children, and there'll be other giveaways too. This very popular annual event is sponsored by Heritage Nanango Community Fund, the South Burnett Regional Council and the Nanango Tourism and Development Association. It's a family friendly and alcohol free event. Everyone is welcome and there's no entry fee! Note: This event is also the finale of Nanango’s 175 year Celebrations, which will be marked with fireworks at 8:00pm

Kingaroy Christmas Carnival

The annual Kingaroy Christmas Carnival will be held at the Glendon Street community area opposite the Kingaroy Town Hall forecourt from 4:00pm to 9:00pm this evening. The Christmas Carnival will feature all the usual fun attractions including food and craft stalls, face painting, an animal farm, meat wheels and multi-draw raffles, along with discounted fun carnival rides and an appearance by Santa to pose for Christmas photos with children. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
