Colour Rush - Murgon

To help celebrate Youth Week and round out the school holidays, the South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding a Colour Rush from 8:45am this morning. The event will cover a 6km round track along the South Burnett Rail Trail, starting on the corner of the Macalister Street and Schultz Crossing. There'll be some fun surprises along the way, and the PCYC's volunteers will be at each station to help spread the fun (and colour!). And after the event is over, South Burnett CTC will be on hand with their popular games trailer and a free BBQ lunch will be served from 11:00am.

Proston Men's Shed

A range of food and freezer hampers are available for between $15 and $45 for people facing financial difficulties, but you'll need to BYO boxes or shopping bags. Simply pick a number at the front door and then wait for your number to be called to go shopping.

South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
