Witness For The Prosecution - Nanango
- The Nanango Theatre Company will presenting their debut performance of Agatha Christie's gripping courtroom drama "Witness For The Prosecution" at their playhouse at the corner of Elk and George Streets, Nanango at 7:00pm tonight. Tickets to see this three hour show are $25 for adults (or $20 for concessions and NTC members) and they can be booked online. Note: Five further performances will be held tomorrow and next Friday and Saturday, including matinee performances on both Saturdays.
Proston Men's Shed

Friday Night Spit Roast With Amos - Cooyar
- To kick off this weekend's Cooyar Bike Ride, the Cooyar Hotel on the New England Highway will be running a $25 per head spit roast dinner and dessert (from 6:00pm to 8:00pm) tonight, along with live music from popular South Burnett entertainer Amos Pellas (who'll be playing in the Outback Bar from 6:00pm to 10:00pm). Yarraman Wild Horse Campdraft
- The first day of the Yarraman Wild Horse Campdraft will be held at the Yarraman Showgrounds on the New England Highway south-west of town from 12:00 noon today, when the action will get underway with the first round of the Open Draft. A bar, canteen and coffee van will be running in the grounds and unpowered campsites are also available onsite if you want to stay over. Admission is free for spectators, and the draft will conclude on Sunday.
Commercial Hotel Grand Reopening - Kingaroy
- The Commercial Hotel at the corner of Glendon and Haly Streets in Kingaroy will be taking the wraps off its recent $3 million refurbishment tonight, and celebrating with live music from the Matty Clarke Band at 8:00pm, along with food and drink specials, and plenty of games with prizes up for grabs. Friday Night At The Shed - Nanango
- The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:00pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting, or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer. - The South Burnett's junior rugby league season will kick off today at Jack O'Chin Oval in Broadway Street, Cherbourg. The U14s teams from Murgon and Wondai will play the first match of the day at 5:30pm, and this will be followed by a second U14s clash between Cherbourg and Kingaroy at 6:30pm. Friday Night Soccer - Kingaroy
- Round 1 games in the South Burnett's 2024 senior soccer season will continue tonight when Kingaroy East Women play Kingaroy West Women at Tom Alford Oval at the end of Oliver Bond Street in Kingaroy at 6:15pm. This will be followed by a second match between Nanango Men Blue and Kingaroy Wests at 7:45pm. A canteen will be operating at the grounds and spectators are very welcome.
South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. AA meets in Murgon every Wednesday and Friday at 12:30pm at the Baptist Church at 94 Macalister Street, and members who can't make it in person can join in the meeting online via Zoom.
