Archery Fun Day - Nanango
The Barambah Bowhunters and Field Archers Association will be holding a Sunday Fun Day - a Come & Try archery day - at their range in Bowhunters Road, Nanango (just next to Virgil's Artisans Village on the D'Aguilar Highway south of the CBD) from 9:00am to noon this morning. Beginners (even if you've never held a bow before) and regular shooters are welcome! Cost is $20 (range fee plus bow and arrow hire) or $5 (range fee only, BYO bow). All ages are invited! There'll also be a barbecue lunch available afterwards for $10.
Author's Talk - Kingaroy
- Author Carrie Lock will be talking about her latest work, "Mary MacKillop And The Path Of The Foundress" from 11:15am to noon today at the St Mary's Catholic Church Hall, 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy. The book features the stories of Australia's first Catholic saint, Mary MacKillop, as well as other women who went on to change the course of the Catholic Church’s history.
Murgon Sunday Markets
- The monthly Murgon Markets will be held in Lamb Street, in the heart of Murgon, from 7:00am until about 12:00 noon today. The markets run on the second Sunday of each month and offer locally made crafts, foods and produce - always an interesting Sunday morning out. New stallholders are always welcome too! More details? Back To Basics Music Muster - Coverty
Today is the final day of the five-day Back To Basics Music Muster at 1385 Proston-Boondooma Road, Coverty (13km west of Proston). The Muster will feature performances from Rob Breese, Rusty Ringers, Brian Letton, Reece Blinman, the Cartwheels, Zac Anthony, Alice Benfer, Matt Manning, Clarrie Weller and Clyde Cameron plus extra guest artists, walk-up acts and bush poetry. There's free bush camping on site and toilets (but no showers) and campfires are allowed. A canteen will be operating plus a coffee van but guests should BYO seating and liquid refreshments. Tickets are $40 per head per day or $110 for a five-day pass (under 16s free) but must be booked in advance. Tickets can booked online.
Wondai Community Share
- A Wondai Community Share is held on the second Sunday of every month from 2:00pm at Dingo Creek Park on the Bunya Highway north of the Wondai CBD. Bring along any excess fruit, vegetables, baked goods or other household items you have to swap with others for things you need, or simply to give away. Everyone is welcome!
Brian Avery - Linville

Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
- A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
