Yarraman Festival
The annual family-friendly Yarraman Festival is on again today from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Yarraman Station Park (at the end of Millar Street). There'll be market stalls, food trucks, live music from The Dreamers, a free petting zoo, free face painting, free puppy cuddles and ... axe throwing! More information is available online
Ringsfield House Open Day - Nanango
Historic Ringsfield House, 41-45 Alfred Street, Nanango, is hosting an Open Day today! Local artists will be featured in the art gallery from 9:00am to noon, plus tea and scones will be available on the verandah for $12.00 per person from 9:00am to 11:00am. (As a bonus, visitors can also pop on down to the Energy Museum in Henry Street where the historic Nanango Butter Factory diesel motor will be fired up this morning or drop in to inspect the former Masonic Lodge in Gipps Street which will also be open for inspection!)
Nanango Country Markets
The Nanango Show Society will be holding their regular monthly Country Markets at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 6:00am to 11:30am today. As usual, the markets will feature a wide variety of craft stalls, new and used goods, plants, poultry and pets. The Nanango Markets are the largest rural market in south east Queensland and attract up to 420 stallholders. But new stallholders are always very welcome too! More info? Free Symphonic Concert - Kingaroy
The Queensland Youth Orchestra's acclaimed Wind Symphony (a symphonic wind band) will be performing a free concert from 6:00pm this evening at the Kingaroy Performing Arts Centre (KPAC) at the end of Markwell Street. The Kingaroy SHS Symphonic Band will also be performing. NB. The Wind Symphony will also be performing in Cherbourg tomorrow.

Cherbourg Hornets are hosting today's South Burnett A Grade rugby league games at Jack O'Chin Oval: 1:00pm Murgon v Nanango; 2:30pm Cherbourg v Blackbutt-Yarraman; and 4:00pm Kingaroy v Wondai
Back To The 70s Party Night - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt RSL Club, on the corner of Muir and Douglas streets, is holding an 18 party night from 6:00pm this evening, with 70s music, 70s cocktails, prizes for best dresses and raffles. Funds raised will support Blackbutt Aged Care.
Moffatdale State School Golf Day
Murgon Golf Club will be hosting the annual Moffatdale State School Golf Day as a fundraiser for the school's P&C. There'll be a barbecue lunch from noon, followed by tee off at 1:00pm for the nine-hole three-person ambrose. Australian Rules - Kingaroy
Australian Rules will be back at Kingaroy’s Lyle Vidler Oval today with the South Burnett Saints playing a full round of games: 9:00am U11.5 v Coolaroo; 10:00am U13.5 v Coolaroo; 11:30am U15.5 v Coolaroo; 1:00pm Senior Women v University Cougars; 2:45pm Senior Men v Coolaroo.
Bingo Buzz - Nanango

Proston Khanacross
The Proston Car Rally Club will be holding the first day of their weekend-long Proston Khanacross at their race track today, 7.5km west of Proston at 757 Proston-Boondooma Road. Racing will begin at 9:30am this morning and wrap up towards nightfall with spectacular burnouts from 6:00pm. A canteen and bar will be running and free camping is available on site.
