Nanango Country Markets
The Nanango Show Society will be holding their regular monthly Country Markets at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 6:00am to 11:30am today. As usual, the markets will feature a wide variety of craft stalls, new and used goods, plants, poultry and pets. The Nanango Markets are the largest rural market in south east Queensland and attract up to 420 stallholders. But new stallholders are always very welcome too! More info? Ringsfield House Open Day - Nanango
Historic Ringsfield House, 41-45 Alfred Street, Nanango, is hosting an Open Day today! Local artists will be featured in the art gallery from 9:00am to noon, plus tea and scones will be available on the verandah for $12.00 per person from 9:00am to 11:00am. (As a bonus, visitors can also pop on down to the Energy Museum in Henry Street where the historic Nanango Butter Factory diesel motor will be fired up this morning or drop in to inspect the former Masonic Lodge in Gipps Street which will also be open for inspection!)
Nanango Stamp Fair
Are you interested in collecting stamps? Have a stamp collection and not sure of its value? Need some stamps to complete your collection? Or just starting your collection? Then this may just be the day for you! The Nanango Stamp Club will be holding its annual Stamp Fair from 9:00am to 3:00pm today at the Nanango State High School Hall at 54 Elk Street, Nanango, and admission is free! There'll also be a stamp auction, a bargain table, raffles, a cent auction and a very busy canteen run by the Kumbia QCWA. Professional stamp dealers as well as visiting stamp clubs will be in attendance. Everyone's welcome to come along and get stuck in! Wooroolin Line Dancers
The Wooroolin Line Dancers will be holding line dancing classes at Wooroolin Hall on the Bunya Highway from 9:00am to 10:00am this morning (for absolute beginners and beginners) and 10:00am to 12:30pm (for intermediate dancers). Course fees are $10. More info? Phone Paula 0498-210-073.

Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Proston Khanacross
Proston Car Rally Club will be holding Day 1 of their weekend-long Proston Khanacross at their race track today (the club's track is located 7.5km west of Proston at 757 Proston-Boondooma Road). Racing will start at 9:30am and wrap up towards nightfall, when there'll also be a burnout competition after dark from 6:00pm. Competitors come from all over Queensland and spectators are very welcome to watch the drivers pushing their vehicles to the limit! The canteen will be open all weekend. The South Burnett Cricket Association Junior and Senior games will be played around the South Burnett today. In Stage 1, Kumbia Rattlers v Kingaroy at Kumbia Sportsground; in Stage 2, Kingaroy Kookaburras v Murgon at Murgon Showgrounds; and Nanango Scorpions Yellow v Nanango Scorpions Purple at Alan Downie Sportsfields in Nanango. In Stage 3, Murgon v Kingaroy at Murgon Showgrounds. All junior games start at 8:00am.
