Motors & Mochas - Kingaroy

A Motors & Mochas morning will be held at the Kingaroy Machinery Club's grounds in Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport from 9:00am to around 11:00am this morning. People who'd like to take part should bring along a car, motorcycle or other vehicle they're particularly proud of, then grab a cuppa and appreciate the diverse range of machines on display. There's no cost to enter a vehicle or attend, and everyone is welcome!

Bunya Nut Celebrations

The Bunya Mountains Natural History Association and the Bunya Mountains Community Association have a special bunya nut celebration planned for this weekend at 'Cedarvale' museum and Dandabah. Today there'll be there will be cooked nut tasting, cooking conversations and free children’s activities from 10:00am to 1:00pm. And the crew from Visit South Burnett will also be filming!

Bunya Mountains Markets

The Bunya Mountains Markets, held on the last Sunday of every month, will be running at Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains today. The markets feature up to 30 stands selling quality, locally produced fresh produce, arts and crafts and they'll be operating from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Local cafés like Poppies On The Hill and The Bunya Mountains Café will be offering special Market Day menus and morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas. Walking trail maps will be available from both cafés, the Bunya Mountains General Store and market stalls if you'd like to take a stroll through the adjoining National Park. More details? Back To Basics Music Muster - Coverty

Today is the final day of the five-day Back To Basics Music Muster at 1385 Proston-Boondooma Road, Coverty (13km west of Proston). The Muster will feature performances from Rob Breese, Kerry Kennedy, Lach Mackay, Bob Walters, Brendon Walmsley, Reece Blinman, Brian Howard, Drew Blundell, Steve Sparrow, Alice Benfer, Clarrie Weller and Clyde Cameron plus extra guest artists, walk-up acts and bush poetry. There's free bush camping on site and toilets (but no showers) and campfires are allowed. A canteen will be operating plus a coffee van but guests should BYO seating and liquid refreshments. Tickets are $40 per head per day or $110 for a five-day pass (under 16s free) but must be booked in advance. Tickets can ordered by phoning the organisers on 0412-884-482 or booked online.

Harvest Share & Swap - Yarraman

A free community produce swap is held every Sunday from 9:00am to 10:00am at The Pink Flamingo, 19 Toomey Street, Yarraman. This is an opportunity to share your unwanted produce, seeds or seedlings.

Hivesville Country Markets

The monthly Hivesville Country Markets will be held at the Hivesville Sportsground (in Edwards Lane, Hivesville) from 7:00am to around noon this morning. These family-friendly markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month (except December) and feature a variety of stalls including fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and lots of food. New stallholders are very welcome, too!

Hivesville Devonshire Tea

Hivesville QCWA will be opening the doors at their rooms in Main Street from 7:00am to noon this morning to offer visitors Devonshire Tea to coincide with today's Hivesville Country Markets.

Burrandowan Campdraft

The third and final day of the three-day annual Burrandowan Campdraft will be held at the Chahpingah Reserve on Burra Burri Road, about 60km south-west of Kingaroy, from early this morning until around sunset. Today's action will include Junior and Juvenile events, the finals of the Maiden and Maiden 4 Maiden competitions and the Restricted Open final. The campdraft is a fundraiser for the Burrandowan Picnic Races in May. Saints Junior Sign-On Day - Kingaroy

South Burnett Saints AFC club is holding a sign-on day from 9:00am to noon today at Lyle Vidler Oval, Youngman Street, Kingaroy. There'll also be competitions and games, a free sausage sizzle and an opportunity to meet the coaches.

Sunday Afternoon Poker - Kingaroy

A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
