World Day Of Prayer
Today is the annual World Day of Prayer - an international, inter-denominational, inter-racial prayer movement held on the first Friday in March every year. This year's theme is “I Will Give You Rest: Come ... " suggested by the women of Nigeria.

• Wondai - Wondai Baptist Church, 46 Cadell Street, Wondai, from 10:00am.
Everyone is invited to attend these events, and most venues will also be offering light refreshments afterwards!
Graeme Connors Concert - Kingaroy
Australian country music superstar singer and songwriter will be performing at the Kingaroy Town Hall from 7:30pm to 9:50pm this evening (doors open at 7:00pm). Tickets are $75 for adults, $70 for pensioners, seniors and students; $45 for children under 14; and can be booked online
Barefoot Bowls Fundraiser - Wondai
- POSTPONED The Wondai Business & Development Association is hosting a Community Barefoot Bowls fundraiser at the Wondai Country Club (on the Bunya Highway just north of the Wondai CBD) from 5:00pm tonight. Cost is $15 which includes a sausage sizzle and dessert. The licensed bar will be open and hot chips will also be available. Teams can be registered by email. Beginners are welcome! Funds raised will go towards supplying solar security lights for the Wondai community.
Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery, on the roundabout at Wondai, will be opening its March exhibitions at 6:00pm tonight. This month, there will be another three great exhibitions for visitors to enjoy. In the main gallery, award-winning photographer John Dalton will have a collection of more than 50 photographs accompanied by verse. Works by leading Indigenous artists Barbara and Les Stewart fill the front gallery while Nanango artist Ina Patterson has "A Few Of My Favourite Things" in Gallery 3. Ina's exhibition has a unique "paying it forward" theme. You can read more about this here. As usual, there'll be hot and cold finger foods and punch, glasses of wine, live music and lots of fun socialising. Admission is just $5 and everyone is welcome to attend. More details? Rugby League - Nanango
The first of the special South Burnett Rugby League Under 15s pre-season games will be played from 6:00pm this evening at Fred Kassulke Oval in Nanango. The U15s Stags will take on a mixed team. Entry is free and the canteen will be open! The Under 15s will be in action again next Friday (March 13) at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Kingaroy; and on March 20 at Wondai Sportsground. Under 15s interested in playing rugby league this year should contact their local club!
Fitness & Friends - Murgon
- Fitness & Friends is a fun group of walkers which gathers at Graham House Community Centre, 21 Taylor Street East, Murgon, every Thursday and Friday morning at 6:30am for a brisk 30-minute walk. More info? Contact Graham House on (07) 4169-8400.
Nanango Kennel Club
- Nanango Kennel Club holds rally classes from 6:00pm and dog obedience classes from 7:00pm every Friday night at the Alan Downie Sports Fields in Burnett Street, Nanango (weather permitting, check Facebook for cancellations). Cost is $5:00 per class for non-members.
Wooroolin Line Dancers - Wondai

Barefoot Bowls - Yarraman
- CANCELLED Yarraman Bowls Club, on the New England Highway, is hosting a family-friendly barefoot bowls afternoon from 4:00pm this afternoon. No equipment is needed (just wear flat-sole shoes). Members will be on hand to share tips and tricks. The bar will be open. $15 green fee includes a hamburger or $5 per person for bowls only. Murgon To Kingaroy Shopping Bus
- Graham House will be running a shopping bus between Murgon and Kingaroy today. The bus will pick up customers from their address at 8:30am and transport them to the Kingaroy Mall (or other destinations if arranged beforehand), then make a return journey about 11:30am. Tickets on the bus are $15 per person return and the bus runs fortnightly on Fridays (except public holidays) but places are limited so a booking is necessary. Ping Pong Fridays - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Neighbourhood Centre offers free ping pong every Friday from noon to 1:00pm at the Biscuit Tin, 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy. Refreshments are available. Everyone is welcome but an RSVP is required on (07) 4162-5439.
Karaoke Night - Murgon

Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low-income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further.
