South Burnett Regional Council has extended its dog registration pensioner discount to all pension card holders.
The decision was made at Council’s December meeting.
The pensioner discount for de-sexed and microchipped dogs was granted previously only to aged pensioners.
The change will take effect on December 1, 2021, in line with the next dog registration period.
A Council spokesperson said pensioners should provide evidence of their pension status to any of Council’s Customer Contact Centres before October 2021 so their records could be updated.
