Police from the Queensland Racing Crime Squad have charged a 25-year-old Toowoomba man as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected horse doping.

Police charged the 25-year-old man on Wednesday with aggravated fraud.

A police spokesperson said the arrest was part of an investigation into the alleged administration of unregulated performance-enhancing supplements to thoroughbred racehorses.

Three people were charged on June 25 as part of the operation.

It will be alleged the Toowoomba man charged this week was involved in the purchase and administration of the supplements.

He will appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on December 2.
