A 16-year-old L-plate driver came to grief at the roadworks in Alford Street, Kingaroy, on Saturday night.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said that just after midnight, the young driver – the sole occupant of the vehicle – drove into the “Road Closed” sign.

“He then crashed into some steel framework on the road being used for the bridge construction,” Snr Sgt Frank said.

He was taken to Kingaroy Hospital by ambulance where a blood sample was taken.

“Police will be alleging he was intoxicated.”

A semi-trailer crash has caught up with the driver who was issued on Sunday morning with a notice to appear in court to face a charge of drug-driving.

The prime-mover and trailer ran off the road at Kumbia in October.

Snr Sgt Frank said blood tests taken at the time had allegedly came back positive for methylamphetamine and amphetamine.

A 70-year-old woman has been charged with creating a disturbance in a health facility after at incident in Accident & Emergency at Kingaroy Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to the hospital at 2:00pm after reports that a woman was creating a public nuisance.

It will be alleged that the woman was extremely intoxicated and aggressive.

On Thursday morning, police stopped a vehicle in Kingaroy Street.

Police will allege that checks revealed the 34-year-old female drive was unlicensed.

Police executed a drug search warrant on a house in Edward Street, Kingaroy, on Thursday afternoon.

They allegedly found a white crystalline substance and a small amount of cannabis.

A 21-year-old man has been issued with a notice to appear in court to face a charge of possessing dangerous drugs.

A P-Plate driver whose licence was suspended due to the loss of demerits points was pulled over by police on Friday night in Parkside Drive, Kingaroy.

The 27-year-old man then allegedly blew .045 BAC after a roadside breath test.

The 2016 Queensland road toll stands at 204, with five deaths so far in November.
