Yallakool Tourist Park recently played host to the lucky winner of the Wide Bay-Burnett Regional Organisation of Councils (WBBROC) holiday promotion.

WBBROC, which represents the South Burnett, Cherbourg, Gympie, North Burnett, Fraser Coast and Bundaberg Regional Councils, offered a $4000, 10 night Regional Trail holiday to encourage visitors to explore the Wide Bay-Burnett area, and go into a draw to win the holiday package when they did so.

To enter the competition, visitors needed to download a competition app onto their iPhone or Android, which then directed them to businesses participating in the promotion.

Whenever they visited any of these places, entrants could scan a QR code to register their visit.

And once they’d scanned three QR codes, they could submit their entry in the competition via the app.

The competition was only open to people whose principal place of residence was outside the Wide-Bay Burnett, and it ran from July 6 to October 30.

The competition was won by Narelle Walker, and she elected the spend the first two nights of her holiday in the South Burnett enjoying the facilities at Yallakool.
