Community groups have been invited to apply for support under the latest round of the Heritage Nanango Community Funding scheme.

Sponsorship application packages are available at the Heritage Community Branch in Drayton Street, Nanango.

The completed forms must be lodged in the “Sponsorship Applications” box inside the branch before 11:00am on Saturday, April 30.

Profits from the Nanango Heritage Community Branch are shared with Heritage Nanango Community Funding for distribution back to the local community.

Since the branch opened in Nanango in 2002, more than $3.2 million has been distributed to the groups in the Nanango / Yarraman area.

Nanango’s Heritage Community Branch is also working in partnership with South Burnett CTC to build Heritage Lodge, a modern complex of six two-bedroom duplexes on the corner of Gipps and Dalby streets in Nanango which will provide specialised community housing for people with a disability.

The branch is also a major sponsor the of South Burnett Business Excellence Awards, and recently became the major sponsor of Nanango’s annual Big Screen Film Festival.
