Nanango’s a healthy place to live, and the organisers of the inaugural Nanango Healthy Life Expo are keen to prove it.
The Healthy Life Expo will run until 4:00pm on Saturday in Pioneer Park, and it’s absolutely free to enter!
There are an eclectic mix of stalls, workshops, demonstrations and events happening throughout the day, all based around a healthy lifestyle.
Although the Expo officially kicks off at 10:00am, early risers can take part in a free “Boot Camp” from 8:00am put on by the Rapid Fitness Gym.
The main event will open with a performance by the Shed Music Community, followed by a speech by Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington.
Other highlights on the day will include a Carmen Miranda Fruit Hat Competition, dog parade, meditation, yoga, and demonstrations in the Pioneer Park skate bowl.
On Saturday night, an amazing musical instrument – said by some to have healing properties – will be performed at a special concert at the Rapid Fitness Gymnasium
Armonica Sound Healing will be playing their Finkenbeiner armonica from 6:30pm.
While entry to the Expo is free, entry to the concert will be $20 per head if pre-paid, or $25 at the door.
Tickets can be obtained from the Rapid Fitness Gymnasium, Orchys Fruit and Vegetable, Reel Pizzas Mobile Food Van and Amethyst Moon, Kingaroy.
Sound Armonica will also be selling tickets at their stall during the Expo, and tickets can also be bought online
