The annual Salvation Army Community Christmas Lunch attracted 110 people to the SBcare Centre in Kingaroy on Christmas Day to enjoy good food, good company and a festive atmosphere.

The organising committee was pleased with the turnout, and everyone who attended enjoyed the two-course meal prepared by volunteer Jo Hillman and a team of kitchen helpers.

Organisers would also like to thank the following groups and businesses for their assistance:

Andersson’s Fruit Market, Brumby’s Bakery, Deb Frecklington MP, First Avenue Store, Kingaroy Butchery, Kingaroy Lions, Kingaroy Meals On Wheels, Kingaroy Rotary, Kingaroy Senior Citizens, Quota Club of Kingaroy, Salvation Army Corps South Burnett Region, SBcare, South Burnett CTC, South Burnett Online, the South Burnett Times, Taabinga Rotary and Woolworths for their help and/or donations to make the event happen.

The committee would also like to make a very special “thank you” to all the volunteers who gave up their Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to help their fellow citizens of the South Burnett.
