Pottery Workshop
Flashback: Sue Lambert and Rajesh Singh with pottery tutor Fay Stumm at Kingaroy Library last June; this Wednesday and Thursday the library will be hosting two special events for Seniors Week

August 18, 2015

Kingaroy Library is inviting local children to bring their grandparents or other special elderly people in their lives to this week’s Storytime as part of Seniors Week.

The story session, which will run at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 19 will include rhymes and be followed by craft.

Naturally, mums and dads are welcome too!

And on Thursday, August 20 Kingaroy bush poet Carol Hutcheson and cartoonist/artist Tony Turton join forces to entertain South Burnett seniors at the library.

Carol will recite bush poetry while Tony will create quick sketches.

Both artists are senior citizens themselves, who remain active in their chosen fields.

Thursday’s event also begins at 10:00am and will be followed by a light morning tea.

To help plan catering, RSVPs to (07) 4189-9256 would be appreciated, but are not essential.

Both events are free and suitable for all ages.
