… and the inaugural Heritage Bank Nanango Paper Plane Championship attracted younger fans on Sunday

June 17, 2015

There was fun for young and old at last weekend’s Big Screen Festival at the Nanango Cultural Centre.

Packed To The Rafters star Ryan Corr – from “The Water Diviner” – stole all the girls’ hearts on Friday night at the red carpet opening night (see separate report)

On Saturday night, a charity fundraising night for the South Burnett Mayor’s Community Benefit Fund featured a chocolate fondue fountain, strawberries, marshmallows and other treats … which quickly attracted an eager crowd around it.

The evening also featured screenings of “Manny Lewis” and “The Spirit of Anzac”.

On Sunday morning, the inaugural Heritage Bank Nanango Paper Plane Championship, which featured Paper Pilots Dylan Parker and James Norton, attracted would-be pilots of all ages who had the chance to win $50 Heritage Bank accounts in four age divisions.

The family feel-good movie “Paper Planes” was screened.
