Telstra has admitted that it has been having “issues” with one of its base stations in the Kingaroy area which have been affecting local mobile phone services.

southburnett.com.au contacted the company after a complaint from a reader about wireless services.

There have also been complaints about intermittent faults in Kingaroy with no mobile phone service being available for short periods of time before suddenly cutting back in.

Media relations spokesperson Jenni Barbour said Telstra was aware of an issue with one of its base stations which is impacting mobile services in the Kingaroy area.

“Repairs are underway, however we do not have an estimated time for completion and apologise to customers for the inconvenience while we get the repair completed,” she said.
