Toowoomba Regional Council is urging Yarraman and Cooyar residents to “snap, send and solve” if they see any problems in their local area.

An over-hanging tree branch in your street?  Snap! There’s  some broken playground equipment in the park, snap again! There’s a pot-hole starting to become bigger on a local road … snap!

Snap Send Solve is a mobile phone app which makes it easy for residents to report a problem to Toowoomba Regional Council.

Once downloaded, the app can be used anywhere as Snap Send Solve determines the council jurisdiction you are in by using your smartphone’s GPS location.

Once your GPS location has been determined, the server sends back all relevant council details, including contact information, location, and email contact.

Snap Send Solve allows residents to easily capture and report on common issues including litter, damage to roads or footpaths, trees, street cleaning, noise, and also provide a general request or general feedback.

Toowoomba Regional Council has been receiving an average of six reports a month through the Snap Send Solve app over the past 12 months.

TRC Customer Services portfolio spokesperson, Cr Anne Glasheen, said Snap Send Solve gave council thousands of extra eyes in the community.

“During the Christmas period if you see a problem just snap, send and solve the problem using the app which is available on iPhone and Android systems,” Cr Glasheen said.

“The app is straightforward to use and council will attend to reports as soon as they come in.

“Toowoomba Regional Council covers more than 12,000sq km and we value your input in locating any issues with our roads, footpaths and other infrastructure.”
