Hey guys … have you got what it takes to keep the girls in town?

Kingaroy and the South Burnett will feature in a new Channel 9 reality show … if our bachelors scrub up okay for TV!

The Nine Network has commissioned a new reality series for 2014 called “When Love Comes to Town”.

It will feature 12 single city girls who have been unlucky in love and are prepared to travel to country towns all over Australia in order to find “Mr Right”.

The series is being produced by Southern Star Entertainment and one of the towns identified as a possible shooting location is Kingaroy and the surrounding areas.

All they need now are the eligible bachelors ….

The only criteria is the guys must be aged between 25 and 39 and genuinely want to find love.

The producers have stressed the show is “all about love”. It is not a competition and there is no prize money.

However the real winner could be the country towns that get featured in each episode as the girls move about the countryside.

The ladies will meet the two most eligible bachelors in each town that they visit.  They will date the guys and the cameras will follow as they learn more about their lives, passions and the connections they have with their local community.

The women will meet the bachelors’ friends and families, and spend time in what could be their new home town.

Ultimately, they must decide whether to stay in town and pursue a relationship, or try to find love in the next town.

Southern Star Entertainment  casting producer Brooke Hulsman said the show was a great opportunity for Kingaroy to show off its attractions to the rest of Australia as the bachelors take the girls out and about.

She said the format of the show was different from past “love” shows like “Farmer Wants A Wife” as the girls are totally in charge. They decide whether to stay in a town or move on …

Ms Hulsman said the format had been based on a successful Norwegian production.

She will be in Kingaroy this weekend to interview potential bachelors.
