The RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter was called twice to airlift patients from Kingaroy Hospital today.

In the morning, the crew was tasked to airlift a woman in her 30s suffering from abdominal pain. She was taken to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Later in the afternoon, the crew returned to Kingaroy Hospital to airlift a seven-year-old girl who was injured in a quad bike accident on Tuesday.

RACQ CareFlight aircrewman Brian Guthrie said the girl was transported to the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane to undergo further tests.

“The young patient travelled in a stable condition and her mother accompanied her throughout the airlift,” he said.
