Entries for the Kingaroy Regional Gallery’s $2000 “Digital Art Goes Wild” acquisitive youth art competition close in just over two weeks.

Entry forms are available from Council’s Visitor Information centres, libraries and the Kingaroy Art Gallery, as well as the art departments of the region’s high schools.

The competition invites the regions aspiring young artists, aged between 12 and 24 years of age to combine digital art with at least one other media – eg digital design with acrylic paint.

All entries must be delivered to the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery by 4:00pm on Saturday, June 1.

Winners of the $1000 first prize, $700 second prize, and $300 third prizes will be announced at the 100 Years on the Block Heritage Festival at the Kingaroy Information Art and Heritage precinct on Saturday, June 8.

Entries in the competition will be on display in the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery during the month of June, with the winning piece acquired by the Council to boost its permanent collection.
