FLASHBACK: Three generations of creator Steve Langton’s family helped Mongrel the tractor give its world premiere performance at Tractor Tattoo last year

April 12, 2013

The South Burnett’s musical tractor, dubbed ‘Mongrel’, is being loaned to the Lockyer Valley Regional Council for use in this weekend’s Laidley Heritage festival.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council saw the tractor on TV when it debuted during last year’s Tractor Tattoo.

“It was fascinating,” a spokesperson for the Heritage Weekend said.

“So we contacted the South Burnett Regional Council to see if we could utilise it at one of our events. The Council were willing to oblige.”

Following Tractor Tattoo, Mongrel has been visiting various South Burnett towns for special events.

The trip to Laidley will be its first visit outside the region.
