The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service has announced it will be conducting a planned burn this week (November 5-9) as part of the fire management program for the Bunya Mountains National Park.
The statement said firefighters and machinery would be working along roadsides in the vicinity of Bunya Mountains Road.
The Barkers Creek Circuit (including Barkers Creek lookout & Big Falls lookout) – from Paradise Junction through to the Tim Shea/Scenic Circuit junction – will be closed to public access.
Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
The facilities will reopen when conditions are considered safe.
