The cast has been rehearsing Pilots of the Purple Twilight for six months

November 6, 2o12

It’s the type of play where you know the cast will either sink or swim … but considering it’s set entirely on board the RMS Titanic, that’s to be expected!

The Nanango Theatre Company launched their latest production, Pilots of the Purple Twilight, with a matinee performance at the Nanango Playhouse on Saturday afternoon.

The play, by Steven Kluger, takes place in the First Class smoking lounge of the Titanic on the evening of April 14-15,  1912 (and yes, that’s the night that it struck an iceberg …)

The NTC have been rehearsing the 1989 play for almost six months.

If you want to catch it, you’ll have to be quick.

There’s just three more performances … at 7:30pm on November 9, 10 and 16, before the season concludes with a wine and cheese night on November 17.
