2010-11 SBRC Annual Report

June 14, 2012

For the fourth consecutive year, South Burnett Regional Council has won a Bronze Award for its Annual Report in the Australasian Reporting Awards.

ARA is a not-for-profit organisation that was established 60 years ago to encourage effective communication of financial and business information.

The reporting awards measure the quality of financial and business reporting in annual reports against the ARA’s criteria, which are based on world best practice guidelines.

“While the annual report is a legislative requirement, Council takes the responsibility of preparing the Annual Report very seriously which is evident by Council being awarded a Bronze Award,” Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.

“Councils’ 2010/11 Annual Report titled ‘A Year of Consolidation’ was an open and transparent report detailing Council’s performance across all activities. It not only highlighted Council’s achievements but also the challenges faced as an organisation and by the community.”
