Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai

The Wondai Regional Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai will be opening their latest monthly exhibition with a wine and cheese tasting at 6:00pm tonight. This month the gallery will be hosting its annual exhibition from Brisbane's Gallery Of Modern Art - "Asia Pacific Video" - featuring nine contemporary video works from Asian and Pacific artists that promise to be stunning. Meanwhile, children from Wheatlands State School will be hosting their own exhibition in Kidz Korner. As usual, tonight's opening will also feature hot and cold finger foods and punch, along with wine tastings from Clovely Estate, live music and lots of fun socialising. The first day of the three-day Frosty Dingo Rally will be held at the Wondai Showgrounds in Baynes Street, Wondai today. The rally has been organised by the Leisure Riders Touring Motorcycle Club for motorcycle riders only and today's activities will feature a gymkhana, awards and a raffle, along with night-time entertainment and a sausage sizzle, Entry is $25 per person with a badge, and no cars or glass are allowed.

South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. AA meets in Murgon every Wednesday and Friday at 12:30pm at the Baptist Church at 94 Macalister Street, and members who can't make it in person can join in the meeting online via Zoom.
