South Burnett CTC Secretary and CEO Nina Temperton presents a thank you gift to retiring South Burnett CTC treasurer Max Lehmann

December 7, 2017

Retiring treasurer Max Lehmann was presented with a gift  for his many years of service at the South Burnett CTC annual general meeting held in Kingaroy recently.

The former Kingaroy Shire Council Deputy Mayor said he originally joined the CTC Board in his role as a councillor but had happily stayed on after retiring from Council because he strongly believed in the work the not-for-profit association did in the community.

Also thanked at the AGM were Michael Carroll and Howard Leisemann, who have both served on the CTC Board for 30 years, and secretary Nina Temperton who has been managing CTC for 25 years.

Mrs Temperton returned the praise: “Thank you to the Board … the best Board in the history of south-east Queensland at the very least!”

She also thanked CTC’s sponsors, especially Heritage Nanango Community Fund and Stanwell Corporation, all the senior and middle management staff and “the back office people who have completed the ridiculously complicated reports and acquittals”.

She asked supporters and members at the AGM to “spread the word” that CTC could accept donations.

“Government funding is increasingly difficult to get, and difficult to get in any quantity. Spread the word about how to donate,” she said.

The following members were elected to the Board of Governance: John Box, Marc Reinbott, Nina Temperton, Michael Carroll, Eric Cross, Howard Leisemann, Sue Algate. Maurice Freeman, Kaylene Schilf, Bernadette Upton, Jo Gadischke and Russell Lebsanft.

At the December Board meeting, John Box was confirmed as chairman, Marc Reinbott as vice-chairman, Howard Leisemann as treasurer and Nina Temperton as secretary.
