The South Burnett Race Club will be holding its annual Anzac Day race meeting – always popular with punters! – at the Wondai Racecourse on Saturday (April 25).

Anzac Day usually falls on a weekday, so to have the annual race meeting falling on a Saturday this year is very special and a huge crowd is expected.

Race 1 will leave the barriers at 1:30pm.

As usual, the meeting will feature an on-course TAB, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and licensed bar.

All the marquees are already booked out!

This meeting’s theme is “Poppies And Pearls” and guests who dress to it can compete in the Fashions Of The Field competition for great prizes.

Gates will open at the track at noon and the feature race of the day – the Wondai Diggers Cup – will leave the barriers at 2:05pm.

Admission to the racecourse is just $10 but visitors should bring cash because there is no EFTPOS available on site.
